1. Fix broken ice maker

If your fridge has an ice maker and it is not working well in producing ice cubes, it could be broken. Sometimes, the ice maker will only work in producing tiny shards of ice.

The first thing you need to do is to take off the ice maker from the freezer. Unplug your fridge first and separate the wiring harness. Use a screwdriver to take off the screws that gain the ice maker inside the freezer. Check the inlet tube for the ice. take off clogged ice inside the tube. This can block the flow of water. Make sure you take off debris inside the tube. Also check the saddle valve and make sure that it is not clogged. You might have to replace the inlet valve of the machine. This is what turns the water provide on and off. If it is broken, the machine will not work in delivering water to the ice maker.

2. Fix a leaky fridge

If puddles of water seem to be arrival out of the fridge, this can be caused by a clogged icemaker or water dispenser. To check if the ice maker is clogged, use the steps mentioned above. You should also check the dispenser. Find out if the hose that supplies water to the dispenser is clogged. Disconnect the hose from the fridge and clean it. Also check the water filter of the machine. If debris has already accumulated, you would want to replace it.

3. The machine won't cool

This can be caused by a poor condensation inside the machine. You have to check the back part of the fridge where the condenser coils are located. You might have to clean this area if dirt and cobwebs have already accumulated. This is needed to exhaust hot air exterior the machine.

Also check the rubber gasket if it is sealing the door of the fridge tightly. Open the door of the fridge and insert a dollar bill before end it.
